Science & Technologies Office
The Science & Technology Office will focus on foundational Research and Development (R&D), primarily within the 6.1 to 6.3 areas of technology development. This office will focus on basic research, innovation workforce issues, technology protection, laboratory infrastructure, small business programs, as well as oversee FFRDCs and UARCs. Critical Technologies Areas that are seed areas of emerging opportunity will also be based in this office.

Critical Technologies Office
The Critical Technologies office will focus on strategic critical technology areas primarily based on the 6.3 to 6.7 areas of technology development. Included in this office are:

- Space Technology
- Directed Energy
- Human-Machine Interfaces
- Integrated Sensing and Cyber

Mission Capabilities Office
The Mission Capabilities office will focus on mission engineering, mission integration, joint operations, prototyping, experimentation, and rapid transition. This office will focus on more mature technologies and will closely collaborate with the Services, Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands. The Mission Capabilities office will also assist with the development of the Joint Warfighting Concepts and manage the Rapid Development and Experimentation Reserve (RDER)

Office of Strategic Intelligence and Analysis
The Office of Strategic Intelligence and Analysis (OSI&A) infuses technical and operational assessments with intelligence- and threat-informed analysis in support of DoD technology investment and acquisition decisions to achieve technical overmatch. OSI&A employs cross-cutting technology forecasting and net technical assessment methodologies to characterize tomorrow's technology landscape.
