Key Responsibilities:
• Serves as the Program Security Officer for Special Access Programs (SAP), supporting the Assault Breaker II (ABII) program for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (OASD(MC)), within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering (OUSD(R&E));
• Serves as the principal OASD(MC)/ABII point of contact for all inter-agency issues involving DoD SAP security, OUSD(R&E) Special Access Programs Coordination Office (SAPCO) and corresponding Executive Orders and national policies;
• Provides technical expertise on personnel, physical, information, industrial, and operational security as related to SAPs within DoD;
• Handles security incidents, formulates, and applies innovative security strategies, and liaises with counterintelligence and criminal investigation entities as required, and in coordination with the OUSD(R&E) SAPCO;
• Responsible for the management and leadership of the OASD(MC)/ABII security contract support personnel and will oversee individual eligibility for OASD(MC)/ABII SAP access and process all requests for access to DoD SAPs requiring OSD coordination, DoD SAPCO, and DSD approval;
• Directs the Physical Security, Administrative Security, and Communication Security Programs and all SAP security related functions;
• Collaborates and coordinates security efforts across Services and OSD components to craft secure solutions for the Department of Defense.
